Did you know that you can complete Fallout 3 on the PC in under five hours (or 5 mins if you really want to cheat) and have ANOTHER 1000 points added to your Xbox Live Gamerscore? The cheats on the PC version (and there are loads) do not affect achievements. So even if you have finished the game on the Xbox 360, pick up a PC version, sign into Windows Live and do it again! Some of the cheats are ridiculously easy, like to collect 20 Bobbleheads, just spawn 20 in front of you.....

Can't get through a door because some moron NPC is blocking your way and you need to win a speech challenge? Screw that, add the "No Clipping" cheat and walk through the wall! Want to unlock achievements for reaching levels 14, 20 and 30? Just add "Set Player Level" cheat to whatever level you want, give yourself some karma while you are there, and your done. Yes, it really is that easy! I have listed some of the cheat codes below if you want go ahead and try it, but you may have to dig around here for the full list.

For those wondering about PC and achievements and how to add them to your Xbox Live Gamerscore, read on:

First off, you need Vista. You can run games on XP, but you won't get achievements. To get achievements, the games must have "Games for Windows - Live" AND have a label on the back that says "achievements". Once you load your game on to your PC for the first time, sign in with your Windows Live ID (email and password) and you will then get the option to recover your Gamertag and that will load your Gamerscore and account on to your PC. After that, you will log in automatically.

Just as a side note, you cannot play against yourself. That is, you cannot play ranked matches in Gears of War on the Xbox against yourself on Gears of War on the PC. Believe me, I tried.

FALLOUT THREE CHEATS

To bring up the cheats console hit the tilde key (~) during game play. Then type in the cheat code on the right of the effect you want.

hey hey... word on the street is you can just add achievements via console on the PC version. As in something like player.addachievment1 or some such.. if i find the link, i'll post a follow-up, but it's something to look into :)

P.S. that's a pretty funny move u tried with gears of war! which got me thinking... could you do something like: create an account, give it a cheapy day membership you've found included in a game or something, and THEN take it on?

So it's be Slam vs SlamsFakeAcc... then log the fake account into your 360 and vs your real one on the PC..

just a theory!

I think it goes on IP addressing if you using the same router or maybe even small ping. Just a theory....Just wouldn't let us sign in.

Let us know if you find that achievement code as we heard it didn't work?

k, did some research. Here's a youtube video called "How To Get All The Fallout 3 Achievements in 5 Seconds" (it's a slight exaggeration, but depending on how fast you type, it could take less than a minute :P

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdwPLWvmDfA

The guy also writes what to do into the details section.

There's also a post on this site:

http://www.giantbomb.com/fallout-3/61-20504/fallout-3-pc-achievements/35-229754/

I haven't got the PC version yet, but if anyone else does and wants to lemme know if it absolute works (to further the already rock solid verification), please feel free to do so! :)

Hope this helps,

-Kal.

Ok, so I know it has been awhile since anyone has posted in this article, but I wondered if you could get achievements for both the PC version and Xbox 360 versions and have them count separately. According to Speaker Ender at 360achievementpoints.com it is possible. So, I suppose this means that soon enough I'll be buying a PC version...which means I'll have the PS3, PC, and 360 versions....just like Oblivion...I'm Bethesda's bitch...

@ Kazeganthi

Yes you can. Fallout 3 will appear as "Fallout 3 (PC) on your games list. So you can get 2000 points off Fallout. Same goes for Gears, GTA, etc.

This also works for the op anchorage achievements, you don't even need the expansion! Just addachievement 58, 57 etc

I found that you need to start a game and get outside of the vault for some achievements to work, i.e. you can't just add them from the title menu.

Just added achievements 59-64 for a new total of 1350 points. I presume these are expansion achievements but they could have been added in the latest patch? Either way, I DO NOT OWN any expansions just the main game, so you do not need the expansion packs to get 64/64 achievements on the pc version!

I like achievements, but don't you guys feel you're missing out on the actual experience..? I didn't know what to expect when I clicked this link, but this is a little too much.. rofl. Ahwell, to each their own.. (this wasn't an attack in any way, just seems odd you hog achievements for things you haven't even seen yet.. it IS a great game..?)

To the poster asking if people are missing out on the experience by using this method.. Some people have already beaten this game fully on the console and just want the extra gamerscore so for them there is not much point in replaying the entire game. To some people that is worth it because they enjoy having the gamerscore. Hope that answers your question. I'm sure someone will post and try to judge those people but such is life, to each their own.
