Technically called 'Gimmies' these below are the 10 Easiest Achievements Ever. They are soooo simple that they are stupid. There are of course more than ten, but these babies you can unlock in under five minutes and at the beginning of the game. The hardest work will be picking up the controller...
How developers can merit awards for doing these 'non-playing' achievements is beyond thought and reason, but seeing this site is about easy achievements, then ours is not to mock. Instead we like to call it opportunism. Hey, if someone wants to give me five points for pushing a start button, then five points is five points. If however you feel guilty for getting something for nothing, then I suggest reading my other article, Controller Throwing Achievements.

Hard work done? You could quit right now but Matt Hazard has some other gems for doing nothing, like getting an achievement for 'multiplayer master' when there is no multiplayer. You get the achievement as the credit rolls at the end.
PRINCE OF PERSIA
Where's that Temple? - 10 points
Talk to Elika.
Prince of Persia has quite a few points for doing nothing like finding a hole around the back of the temple, but this one here involves talking to your AI partner by just pressing LT, who is with you throughout the WHOLE game. Do it right at the beginning and if you let her blab a little longer, you will pick up another 20 points.

Another START button achievement which you richly deserve no doubt.
FANTASY FOOTBALL : LIVE DRAFT TRACKER
Timeout! - 5 points
Turn the Draft Clock off to unlock this achievement.
Fantasy Football : Live Draft Tracker is filled with achievements such as the one above but this one involves digging around the menu, which is hard work. Find the draft clock, then switch it off. It's in the Options menu if you are in a hurry.
NBA 2K7
My Availability - 10 points
You need to set up “My Availability” for this achievement.
Enter a seven day scheduler calendar and edit one of the days, then click save. Not that it matters, but try to put some thought into it.
MADDEN 06
Enter History Book - 10 points
Enter the History Book screen from Franchise mode.
Click on a menu item and get ten points. That's it, that's the walkthrough.
MADDEN 09
Now Here’s a Guy... - 50 points
Thank you for purchasing Madden NFL 09. Here’s to another 20 years
Create a player called John Madden then max out his stats to 99. Oh yeah, it's worth fifty points so it does involve a little extra effort, but I am sure you can handle it.
This being the number one 'Gimmie' deserves a special mention and it doesn't ever look like it will ever lose it's crown. If you are an achievement junkie and you have yet to play this ultimate awesome gimmie, then you are seriously missing out on the experience of a gaming lifetime, that will never be repeated. To achieve 1000 points in just under three minutes. Of course you have to play a little bit of gameplay, but it is worth 1000 points after all.
