On the spot - 5 points

Score from a penalty in a match

Just set up a 2 player match and take it to penalties. 

Hero - 10 points

Save a penalty

Just do the same as "On the spot" achievement above.

What a Beauty! - 5 points

Score on the volley in a match

You can do this in 2 player mode try crossing the ball from the wings and you should get it quickly enough.

Eat my chip - 10 points

Score by chipping the keeper in a match

I found the best way is to perform the chip shot around the edge of the box mainly just inside the D, the chip shot depending on your button configuration. Mine was LB + B.

Good head on your shoulders - 10 points

Score with a header in a match

See what a beauty achievement above or if not, you should get this from taking corners.

Like on the training field - 10 points

Score from a corner

As it says you should get this fairly easy.

One goal a season - 10 points

Score with a defender in a match

One easy way is to set up a 2 player match with 2 controllers on easy mode and dribble with one of  your defenders and score with him.

Screamer! - 10 points

Score from over 30 yards out in a match

As above but first control player 2's goalkeeper a bring out the ball half way up the pitch give the ball to player 1's team and shoot before the goalie gets back.

Bend it like a pro - 15 points

Score from a free kick in a match

As above, get player 2's to foul you just outside the box and score the free kick. This may take a while. Getting the range just right is the key.

Wing play - 10 points

Score from a cross

As it reads but you should get this the header,volley or corner achievements.

Fling yourself at it - 20 points

Score with a diving header in a match

Arggh I hate this one! I've only done this on SHADYSHEEDY's console by accident it was a goal mouth scramble. But I seem to remember shooting it, hitting the goalie and my player got the rebound. (try quickly running the wing and double tap cross then double tap shoot this as your player is running in)Sorry cant be more help, any tips are welcome.

A Man Down - 20 points

Win a game when down one man

Just get one of your players sent off make sure its only 1 or it wont work and win the match.

Last Gasp Goal - 19 points

Score in the 89th minute

This can take a few attempts. Once again set up a 2 player match and wait until 89mins and score .

Director in the making - 10 points

Upload a video to EA Sports football world

During a match go into instant replay and upload a video of some game footage. It doesn't matter what.

On yer bike! - 30 points

Score with a bicycle kick

This can happen two ways, either get it by accident or like me try for weeks. To get this, the only advice I can give is to run the wings and cross the ball at the by line. Aim for around the penalty spot. This way your other players have time to be in position.

In off - 20 points

Score off the woodwork in a match

This is kind of luck but the best way take plenty of shots around the box it will pop eventually.

Giant Killer - 15 points

Beat a five star team with a half star team

Set the difficulty to easy if you haven't already done so pick a rubbish team with half star and beat one of the big boys.  

Custom sixty four winner - 50 points

Win a Created Tournament that starts with sixty four teams

Set up a tournament but remember to change the setting so you don't  play any two leg games. Just saves time and sim away baby. Just make sure you save after every win, then if you lose you can reload it again. 

One star winners - 75 points

Win a Tournament that starts with sixteen teams, with a one star rated team.

Set up a 16 team tournament. Remember no two leg games and win should take about 40 mins if memory serves me. 

Huge investment - 20 points

Buy a player in Manager Mode for 50 million of your chosen currency

Just choose Man Utd you'll see why later and set your currency to dollars and keep trying to buy from the Italian leagues. I forget which team Juventus, Inter or AC Milan, keep trying they don't always sign first time.

Huge return - 30 points

Sell a player in Manager Mode for 50 million of your chosen currency

Make sure you are Man Utd and sell C.Ronaldo. Make sure your currency is dollars.

Spending spree - 20 points

Buy 50 players in your career in Manager Mode

Set a mode with Chelsea or similar and every time the transfer window opens BUY AND SELL rubbish players. Try and buy 15-20 players a season, this way it should only take 3 seasons to complete. Try simming games to speed this one up .  

The purist - 100 points

Complete a Manager Mode season without simming any games

As it reads. No tips for this one.

Provider - 10 points

Perform a cross for a friend who scores from it (co-operative achievement)

You need at least two players on the same team, run down the wing and cross to the other player, so he can score again. This can be tricky but hang in there. 

Frequent flyer - 20 points

Win in every stadium

In the menu's there a list of stadiums you can play.

You can do this with two player if you wish as "The Peterson" achievement below, but set time clock to 4 mins and make sure every time you change the stadium.  I recommend you do the stadiums begining with E and S first as they consist of over half the 48 stadiums to do. Make sure your signed in controller wins the match this one and "THE PETERSON" CAN BE COMBINED TO SAVE TIME 

Real world winner - 20 points

Win 5 Interactive League matches

As it reads really, just set up a team and go win.

Ranked winner - 10 points

Win a Ranked Xbox LIVE Match

Can take a few attempts just win a live match.

Manual labour - 10 points

Win a match with fully manual settings (no assistance can be switched on)

Set up a match and make sure in the settings you switch all assists off even goalkeepers and indicators you can do it on two players also. 

1st time out - 10 points

Win an Online League match

Set up an online league, invite a friend and beat him. You must win in 90 minutes for theres no extra time or penalties...

Club god - 40 points

Reach legendary status for your club

I was Frank Lampard and Chelsea for this one. Go into a be a player career and play as many as you can trying to get good ratings. You can sim games no more than 10 per season to be sure. Eventually after what seems like weeks, hang on. It was weeks before I got this one, you will reach legendary status.

Living legend - 50 points

Reach legendary status for your country

As the Club god achievement above, but when you complete your club career you and your England team mates play a tournament, you must win it for it to pop.

Secret Achievements

A. Bell Fever - 20 points

Catch the A. Bell Fever by beating the creator or someone who has already has the fever

I got this by accident. Two ways. Keep winning Xbox  Live matches or I'll play you and get it that way for a small fee of course ;)

The ol' switcheroo - 5 points

Successfully perform a pass that switches the play from one flank to the other

Just make a successful pass to a teammate from one flank to the other flank.

Gimme five - 5 points

Score five goals in the arena

As it reads. You should get this before you even realize.

Time you played a match? - 15 points

Score twenty goals in the arena

As above, score 20 in the arena.

Optimus Chung - 10 points

Win a game with Adidas Live Season enabled

In the menus set up Adidas Live Season. There's a code you need on the game box once that's done just play a match in any mode.

The Peterson - 1 points

Play for over fifty hours

As it reads. What a rip off. 1 measly point for all them hours ignoring everything but the game..

Set up a 2 player exibition match, set time to 20 mins and start the game. Then all I did was to leave the ball at either keepers feet, watch TV and keep switching back every 20 mins or so. Rinse and repeat. You can keep and eye on your game time in My FIFA stats. You need 3000 minutes or 50 hours game time.

The Parolin Manoeuvre - 10 points

Win a game whilst not signed in to Xbox LIVE

Just unplug your ethernet cable or equivalent and win a match in any mode.

The Poon Sang - 20 points

Win with 11 created players over xbox live.

Go to create a player, pick a team to put him into. Also make sure you remember the players you edit. I just deleted their name and put my initials in save, then repeated 10 more times. Make sure you create a goalkeeper or it wont work. Also don't worry about player positions, only your keeper of course. When done, go into team management and place all your creates into the first team, then go play and win an unranked match against a friend.

The Venhola Ice - 20 points

Win a FIFA 09 Clubs match with your club

As it reads, win and do your club proud.

Sparkly Clean - 10 points

Keep a clean sheet

Just play a match don't leak any goals.

The Gipson Curse - 10 points

Go into an online match after choosing your own arena player

Go into My FIFA I think, and change your arena player to someone different come out and go into a Xbox Live match it will pop as the match begins.

Judas - 10 points

Beat your favourite team with their rival

When playing a quick match just  win your team with the rival team

FIFA Fair Play - 40 points

Play 5 consecutive matches without getting any cards (bookings must be enabled in the settings)

Depending on your button configuration,  don't use X button or aggressive tackle at all. Also be careful with conservative tackle too. My advice is to use neither. You only have to play them anyhow no need to win.

Pictures speak a thousand words - 10 points

Upload 5 screenshots to EA Sports football world

Whilst playing a match press pause, go into instant replay and upload a screenshot. Do this 5 times and make sure they are all different shots even if there s a few seconds apart, that's ok. 

Duo-Hedgeidecimal - 50 points

Enter a match with 20 people in a Fifa 09 Clubs Match.

As it reads, no real tips for this one.

Jonzo's Lounge - 60 points

Score 2500 points and win 5 badges in a single Lounge Mode match

Set the clock to about 10-15 mins play in Lounge Mode. Try and do most of the following : 

• score in first two mins
• score a penalty
• a free kick
• score from a corner 
• commit no fouls
• score either all out of box or all in the box 
• score with a defender 

By doing these you will recieve badges and points at the end it may take a few attempts.

The Kwong - 10 points

Score a headed goal with the shortest created player

Create a player (striker helps). Make as small as you can by decreasing his height to a minimum. Save him and put him in a team and play that team. This can take a while just keep firing in. Long crosses worked best for me and the little pygmy chap will soon head a goal.

Well that's that really. Except to say on occasion whilst playing FIFA 09, I experienced the odd glitch with achievements not popping, and data corrupt on saves. So always back up your progress up on a memory card. Save the game getting beat up.

I hope this guide helps anyone who cares and would appreciate ways to improve this guide.
