Tactics

This game is very short and very repetitive. There are only six levels and most people have completed it in under 4-5 hours. But being quite short it is possible to pick up about 800 points in the first run through. You may need to repeat to pick up the rest.

Being a fighting game, there are combo’s to learn. They are not too complicated to remember. However, if you are like me and sometimes can’t remember the combo’s, just button bash. Sometimes it will get you out of a tricky situation easily.

There are a few slight glitches (I know mine was), where after dying, it reloaded where you can’t move. There is also only an auto-save so it saves only the last checkpoint. But be warned, if you quit mid-level, when you re-load, it will start back at the beginning of the level! Yes annoying, but at least the game is quite short anyway.

ACHIEVEMENT GUIDE

Gnoming -  50 points

Find seven collectibles.

Throughout out the levels, you will see glowing objects. They are small and look similar, but the glow around them is quite big. They are supposed to be statues, books, gold bars, etc. But to be quite honest, I couldn’t really tell which is which.

Just sweep every area  before you leave. Sometimes you may need to jump mark across to another area to pick them up. Once you pick them up, they are transferred to your Loot Room (which is accessed via your main menu) and disappear. However if you die after you have picked one up, and before a checkpoint, you will need to pick them up again.

Don’t worry too much if you haven’t picked them all up, as you can pick the ones you missed, on your second play through, and the achievement will still unlock. There are 21 all together (you only need to find seven for this achievement)

THREE in Level 1 (Rome)

THREE in Level 2 (Nepal)

FOUR in Level 3  (Egypt)

FOUR in Level 4  (Labs)

SIX in Level 5 (Docks)

ONE in Level 6 (Nepal)

Rat Pack  - 50 points

Find all collectibles in the game.

See “Gnoming” achievement above.

Solar  - 50 points

Find all four unique comic book covers.

Same deal as the Gnoming and Rat Pack achievement above. Collecting these will unlock your combos.

ONE in Level 1 (Rome)

ONE in Level 2 (Nepal)

ONE in Level 3 (Egypt)

ONE in Level 4 (Lab)

Make sure you sweep every area before you leave and look for anything glowing. You may need to jump mark some of these to reach them.

Speed Demon  - 50 points

Complete a play through of the game in record time.

Apparently a lot of people have got this just playing normally without really trying. There is no game clock, so it maybe one of those achievements awarded just for finishing. However, if you haven’t unlocked it on the first playthrough, try it on the second. Most have done a second playthrough in about 45 mins due to the fact you will collect all weapons.

Homerun - 50 points

Perform a finisher move from the left side.

Ignore what the achievement description says. When facing an enemy, just hit “X” and the achievement will unlock. “X” will be their left side. You do not have to do a finishing move. You need to hit the weak green spots on the enemies.

Right Hook  -  50 points

Perform a finisher move from the right side.

Ignore what the achievement description says. When facing an enemy, just hit “B” and the achievement will unlock. “B” will be their right side. You do not have to do a finishing move.

Slice and Dice  - 50 points

Perform a finisher move from the back.

Ignore what the achievement description says. When facing an enemy, just hit “Y” and the achievement will unlock. “Y” will be their back. You do not have to do a finishing move.

Stop hitting yourself  - 50 points

Perform a finisher move from the front.

Ignore what the achievement description says. When facing an enemy, just hit “A” and the achievement will unlock. “A” will be their front. You do not have to do a finishing move.

Gladiator 50 points

Get 20000 experience points.

Doing combos will gain you experience points. You should get this easily after the end of your first play through. The points carry over multiple plays, so if you haven’t reached it the first time, just start a second play.

The Buffet - 50 points

Get 45 000 experience points.

You should get this after the end of your second play through. The points carry over multiple plays, so if you haven’t reached it , just start a third play.

Combo # 5  - 50 points

Perform 5 hits.

You need to do a five hit combo without being hit by an enemy. When facing an enemy, hit their green side and launch any combo.

Shall we dance  - 50 points

Perform one successful 7 hit jump combo attack.

You need to do a long combo with a finisher and not get hit. I found the second and third levels the easiest as they don’t counter attack much and they are in big groups.

Start hitting one of the group and then quickly another and then on the third launch a finisher. Try and use the finisher where you teleport quickly around the enemies. After the finisher hit another three attack buttons quickly and it should unlock.

If you are having trouble, you could use my method. Hit one of the group then quickly, turn your head from the screen. Just concentrate and bash two long combos into the controller quickly, without looking. This way you are not deterred by what the enemy is doing, and you should get an even flow of button pushing. Hey, it worked for me.

When it’s done  - 50 points

Complete the game.

Finish all six levels of the game.

Hard Target  - 50 points

Play through the game without dying.

This can be quite tricky as two of the bosses are annoying and slightly tough. Because of the auto-save feature, it becomes even more annoying that you can’t just save just before a boss fight and re-load after dying.

However some people have said you can quit the Xbox if you die i.e. quit to the Xbox dash board quickly. Then re-load the level again, and the achievement will still unlock.

This is much, much easier if you try on the second playthrough, as you should unlock all weapons.

Impulse 9  - 50 points

Collect all weapons.

There are six weapons to collect in the game. They glow like the collectibles. The first one (the bat) is already in your hands when you start the game. As soon as you collect one, it becomes your primary weapon.

Like the collectibles, just sweep every area before you leave.

BAT in Level 1 (Rome)

CROWBAR in Level 1 (Rome)

KATANA in Level 3 (Egypt)

SHARP METAL BAR in Level 5 (Docks)

BROADSWORD in Level 6 (Egypt)

CHINESE SWORD in Level 6 (Docks)

Deep End - 50 points

Perform a drop zone kill.

When you strike an enemy, sometimes there will be a cutscene where your character has an imaginative why of disposing an enemy. These are totally random and cannot be initiated by a certain combo. You will see your first one in the first level and this achievement will unlock.

Makes you wonder though, if he has this great power, why he does not use it all the time? Make less work than bashing enemies with a combo.

Drop Dead - 50 points

Drop an enemy in all drop zones.

There are nine different drop zone cutscenes. See “Deep End” achievement above. Even though they are random triggered, you will eventually get to see all nine, as certain ones are allocated to certain levels.

Make sure you watch all the scenes in full. If you skip, apparently the achievement will not unlock.

THREE in Level 1.

ONE in Level 2.

THREE in Level 4.

TWO in Level 6.

Dodge This   - 50 points

Escape an in coming tether.

Enemies will fire a long rope at you. Let the rope hit you and tie you up and a meter will appear at the bottom of the screen.  An indicator  will start to move along this meter from left to right. Just press any strike button (A, B, X or Y) when the indicator reaches the thin light blue section, and this will release you.

Nothing but Net  - 50 points

Escape an in coming net.

Same as in coming tether, but this time it is net. The difference between a tether and a net is that the net glows a bright blue. An indicator will start to move along the meter at the bottom of your screen from left to right. Just press any strike button (A, B, X or Y) when the indicator reaches the thin light blue section, and this will release you.

Hot Delivery - 50 points

Slide tackle an enemy.

This is one of the easiest 50 points ever. Run straight towards the enemy,  then hit RT to slide into the enemy.
